    Got back from my run this morning and I decided to drop my rear trailer directly across from the door it needed to go to. Dropped it, put my dolly away, then came back and watched the hostler hook up that trailer. But instead of just going straight back into the door, he pulled forward and looped around, then ended up pulling into the exact same spot to start backing up.

    I think I'm going to make it my mission to do that every day and see how long it takes him to realize what I'm doing.

    It's been so long since I have been active on here, and most of it is partially due to my new erradic schedule. I've been on a soft layoff which means I lost my bid but I am working constantly at the hours of my companies discretion. I would like to transition this to a gripe.

    This is the first time where I work for a company that strictly enforces it's seniority program. My life in the military and even Reddaway was based on merit. If you want to move up, earn it. If you want to run Butte by yourself, prove you can run 20 bills a day plus P/U and we will put you there. I bring up my Butte route since it was our only route that was assigned to only one driver. There was no backup. I ran that trail for three years and Spring and Fall would be 6 stops per day. Cake.

    Fast forward several years and here I am at Holland. Sister company to Reddaway. Need someone to come in early or stay late? How about show up on my day off to get the precious account moved? I am the guy to get it handled. My resume states that my previous job has a undelivered freight rate of less than 1%. That's not bragging, that's a fact.

    So the day I got laid off, we had people in the lounge going "oh I ain't doing this, and I ain't doing that, and I am bringing back this".

    There are four of us on layoff status. I am getting my 8 hours which is keeping my boat afloat. I am doing fine. But it is discouraging to see senior drives get their 70 hours a week, casually bringing back undelived freight

    I witnessed a UPS truck driving like a moron last night, doing easily 10+ the speed limit until he caught up to me and then tailgated me in the far right lane for about a mile. I was genuinely confused, because I see UPS feeder drivers all the time and they are always courteous and cruising along at 10 under the speed limit. I moved over into the middle lane and he flew past me on the right, which is when I realized it was actually UPS Freight...mystery solved.

    Almost took out some moron this morning. Going around a curve and BAM theres this idiot going 35-40 mph on the expressway. No flashers on or anything. If I wasn't paying attention this rant would of been a lot different.

    So last year (2019) I made high 80K just a couple grand under 90K. I did the math and that ads up to around going just by cases almost 500,000 cases finger printed.

    One of the things required of management personnel is to forget where they came from after having climbed through the ranks. :rolleyes:

    @Mike2633
    I withdrew my app so my buddy had a chance at getting it and he got it. He is already in a supervisor role at another company(want to guess which company). Oh, next month I go back to chain,
