The only Miller terminals left are under union contract
So time is ticking on those.
I honestly dont want to merge with you superior drivers, When we got Miller we got some really horse crap loads not to mention some crap ### tanks.

I doubt you can find many drivers happy about a company doubling in size. It probably equals more work for less money for everyone.

Are the old Miller terminals the only Union shops at heniff

    DEllis and yankatank Thank this.

I was sent there to tank wash the last two times I was in Chicago area. I always had been tank washed at the terminal before that. Hope this is not a normal thing now since the Heniff takeover

Depending on what you had previously in the tank they will send you to quala wash, some products markham can’t clean

    You saw those also. Lol
You weren't kidding, there had to be 75 there when I went past Monday morning. They've been growing, a month ago there was only one lot full, now there parked on both sides of the road near downtown Kankakee. 3 months ago there were maybe 15.

I saw a post on here some time back where very particular customers ( I think it might have been 3M ) rejected a tanker based largely on what had been hauled in it previously b/c of cross contamination concerns. Is that something that happens all that often?

Some shippers have an approved previous contained approved list. If your last product isn't on the list, you either have to get approval or you get rejected. Dow is a big one for this. Certain products cannot be loaded after others. For example you can't load solvents after hauling latex.

Thanks, that's good info especially for a new driver! As a driver are you often told what was last in an empty tank you may have just picked up from a yard or wash? IIRC dispatch is supposed to keep track of this kind of thing as well but apparently it does slip through and then you just wasted a day and get sent back empty?

You never haul a tank without either a copy of the last-contained BOL or a washout sheet (which will have the last contained product on it). Get in the habit of reading over it if you know you're picking up somewhere that is picky with approving trailers for loading.
