    I've heard of many 1099 outfits that do that. You'll find that a lot in Chicago. I hear of many companies that pay drivers on the 1099 model then make then start a corporation. It's a loophole that completely nullifies AB5. They try to convince drivers they hire as company drivers that it benefits them but it really doesn't. It only benefits the company. The true ICs on the other hand is more beneficial. They actually have real expenses in the event of a tax audit
