Damage, what do you folk do?

I don’t get damage much, a couple weeks ago I had a case of half gallon milk rejects, and a case of half gallon tea rejects and it’s manageable.

I kept 1 milk and 2 teas, tossed them in the truck fridge, and gave the rest away.

Fast forward to yesterday, I delivered yogurt, and Dannon smashed some boxes, so I have some rejects.

It’s kind of hard to give free #### away surprisingly, so I have 5 cases of yogurt bags and the only thing wrong is the boxes are crushed, but the bagged product is fine.....they came off a pallet that had two boxes smashed flat and they leaked out like a 1970’s porn implant all over the floor, show in center of images.

This trailer has to be dropped at a customer and I’m grabbing a loaded one, but it needs a washout first obviously, and I was told to do whatever with this ####.......problem is, each box has 4 bags, and I think there’s 5 or 6 cases.....you do the math.....I’ve got 50lbs of bagged vanilla and strawberry yogurt nobody wants that’s perfectly fine....

My simple solution just because of the volume, is to uncap them and just dump it all on the floor cause it’s getting washed out anyways and I’m next door to BlueB, and then just toss the cardboard and empty bags when I can get to a dumpster........

What do you guys do when you run across this kind of reject product issue?

They should have just taken it off and left it off and tossed it in the dumpster on site but passed the buck onto me to deal with.....no big deal, just the volume makes it no so discreet to kick out the arse end in a pile lol

I actually had the door open, and a sign that said (FREE, take it all) but it’s still there lol.

I think the issue is the container type.
If it was the cups, I’m sure it would get ghost long ago but I just think people don’t want the hassle of a bag, can’t say I blame them and that’s why I’m not interested in them myself.

I’ll just have to go the dumpster route, thanks for the input.

Always been curious how others would deal with that issue. I’ve seen pallets of #### being given away, which is very rare anymore so now it’s usually a case of whatever here or there
