Why don’t you just google DPF cleaning and see what pops out. Maybe there is another shop that can provide overnight baking. I believe it takes 8 to 10 hours for baking/cleaning.
I really don’t have a clue why you would take it stealership....... o_O

NO just order the parts or take a few days off its pretty simple yes there are people that will delete it permanently BUT IT IS ILLEGAL EVEN FOR A DAY

Thanks man. I didn't know if anyone has experience with this paccar engine and running without the filter. As I've said, the egr is already disabled and I'm at severe derate. It is not ideal but i am able to drive full speed once i can get there. I have suspicions that with the filter completely removed it will drive as you're telling me, 5mph @ 1k rpm.

Don't understand people talking like I'm an idiot or trying to do something terrible. I'm researching a potential option to resolve an issue while trying to keep down time at a minimum. Many people have said their opinion to not do this kind of thing. I agree, it's preferred to not do this. It is not useful for the questions I've asked though. Asking those who have actually tried this and know. If i wanted the dealership response or legal response i wouldn't have even asked here, i already know about deleting being bad and all of that. Even said as much.

As I've said earlier, i live in Casper wyoming. Wyoming is very rural and Casper's population under 60k limits how many shops we have. The man that has the certifications to inspect tankers died last year, now we have to drive to Riverton, Denver or Billings to get tank inspections.

Learned some of my ignorance on the matter. Dpf filter on this truck is literally a segment of the exhaust, not a removable element like i was thinking. It is impossible to operate without the filter. I guess it could be operated with it missing but the exhaust would be coming out under the ps door and would likely burn everything under the truck.

If you are referring to that part that is not removable...... these company I haul for found an individual that would torch that section out and remove it. Then send it to be cleaned and reinstalled and weld the piece that was cut back on. But regardless, that Paccar engine would still throw a code for something else. They only have 2 left Paccars left. Never again will they own one. Also, there a some kind of scanner tool, like a patch(can’t remember the name, maybe someone will recall) you hook it up and it does a instant regen and erases all the codes and gets you down the road. And if you get a code and derate again, you start the process over, and your down the road again. This device stays hooked up to the truck I believe. This company I speak of bought them for those 2 paccars that are left. It’s save them a lot of many form tows and shops.

Pretty sure you're referring to the otc performance tool. I've looked into that and it is interesting. I'm still trying to look into finding my own computer running Davies 4 for better then 4k for hardware and 1600 annual fee for using it

There is this website which I can’t remember at the moment, you can browse for free but if you joined for a small donation..... you could have the access to download any software you need for free. But you would have to beware of any virus. In other words, you need to do some research on which one where good. It would let you know what windows you need and programs etc. You need to be computer savvy to know how and what you need. I downloaded my Cat ET, password generator, and all the flash files for any Cat engine available. But I can’t recall the name of it. Been to long.

O.K. guys. (1) Diagnostic software for Paccar engines is called Davie. It is the only software that is internet dependent in order to use. This makes it the only O.E.M. software that has not been "cracked" after all of these years. (2) OTR product works as stated above (3) Noregon JPro 2017 v3 and newer will allow you to read codes (but not clear them) and perform a regen on a Paccar engine. As for driving without a filter. How does the truck know when the filter is full and it is time for a regen? When the pressure before the filter entry reaches a certain value and is compared to the value of outlet pressure. There are safeguards in place since day 1 of aftertreatment that lets the truck know when the inlet pressure is exactly the same as the outlet pressure that something isn't right and the derate happens the same just as if the filter was plugged. Hope this answers some of your questions.
