It must be getting more and more difficult to get drivers to run on the dollar store dedicated accounts. Check this ad out, talking about how easy it is to do rolltainers, even if there's freight piled on top of them, and making it sound like a cake job for big $$$.

Lol, "Roll a few loads into the store and then your on your way" when I was doing some loads like this I would spend an hour at each store banging on the back door while they ignored me. Then when they finally opened up, there was no room to unload the product untill they spent another hour clearing up the area. 3 or 4 stores a night I had to deal with this.

hogwash, that is NOT exercise. you are only basically using your upper body. i been thru this bull crap with others, saying unloading is exercise.

further, a job like this is also bull crap. you're going to be unloading many times with no loading docks, in the extreme heat and humidity or extreme icy cold winds.

i'd NEVER recommend anyone to accept this sort of "dedicated account"

here's one example of ALL my dedicated accounts of the years..

    1) most times, roll up trailer doors.

    2) back into a REAL loading dock

    3) go inside building, open dock door and trailer door

    4) either a fork lift driver unloaded me, or i had an electric pallet jack

    5) close doors,

    6) drive to next stop.

    7) very little sweating in the extreme heat, very little freezing in the cold temps.

    8) home all weekends, holidays, and still although not as much money as that job offer, made out quite well.

    9) my exercise was easy...go to the bank, take out money i needed.

that is BULL WORK in all types of weather conditions, loading to the ground.

stay away from such job offers. the higher the so-called hiring bonus tells me, they cannot keep drivers.

lesser paying jobs can be a god send, over that crap.

Don’t forget all stores have plenty of room to maneuver a big truck.

Like 062 said, Not to mention that alot of these stores are difficult to get a tractor trailer into due to 4 wheeler's parked in the way.

You can probably get a truck right away. There's several that are sitting abandoned at the stores.

Never! I've been in the business too long to fall for that kind of BS story. They are trying to make a ####ty job sound like the best deal in the trucking industry...lol

Nope. You didn't miss anything. Whomever the company is, they are using a 3rd party recruiter to get the drivers in the door.
