They come capped at 40 but the max they use is usually around 30. 40 is a pretty healthy tune. 45 will start making a lot of heat. The 64 max isn't exactly race tune but it's way too much for any truck that isn't racing or sled pulling. You're far better off upgrading injectors long before that.

I’ve got a new set of 7650s same as original, with bg702, and hi flow mufflers, that’s it. Don’t plan on much more. Just like to get a little more out of it. I think I’ll have injectors @ proper calibration, whatever they’re calling for. Not a fan of setting them all at 75 or ? Detroit Diesel Dealer did that on my last Truck, and seems to Me it caused more carbon build up on a few pistons, after it was tore down. Could have been just from when I idled it, maybe. I just want a smooth engine. New damper, hoping it runs like a new one, maybe a little better. Definitely not going racing, want mpgs and reliability above all.I’m wondering when folks mention +15% fuel increase, if they’re referring to pulse width? 30 + 15%= 37 or 38, for instance.

That "+15%" is just the pw_fudge_factor. It turns up the fuel all across the board and is not the way to properly tune an engine. It will, however, fool your instant read fuel economy and show better mileage...you won't actually be getting it though.

Ok, that’s interesting, what exactly is droop? Do you know? I recall having my old Cat adjusted and my last 12.7 also had droop adjusted supposedly for better mpgs and power. My main concern right not is turbo lag with the new turbo. Though it’s supposed to be new and improved BW design. Quicker spool, supposedly. Currently have 701 wastgated turbo. It’s a Dog to get wound up as it is.

Oil consumption in a 1500 mile trip to denver was maybe 1/4 cup of oil used.maybe the new turbo just needed to seat in.who knows
