Otay Mesa (pilot.) Came down this morning (like2am.) after a reset at home.

Dropped the glass. Got a liqour load picking up in San Diego going too Lodi, but still havent found an empty after checking multiple customers. Will try in the morning, it picks up at 9am. Might have a lift gate load in the morning instead if we dont find any vans. Which id much rather do anyway.

Word is there are no emptys in socal, as of like 5pm. Which I have my doubts, but who knows.

I find that certain Costco DC's like to hoard empty trailers.
    As do a few others.

Not to mention places like the JV terminal.

I have also been deadheaded to places that were short on mt's to drop my mt somewhere.

    Then I was wondering...
If there are no empty trailers, where will my next needed mt come from?

But, I imagine, logistics are more a pain in the 'a' for the planners than it is for me.

    I'm still in Hines, OR.
The roads west are still pretty bad with several areas requiring chains. So I'm still not moving.

I don't think Oregon cares a nit nor a wit about clearing roadways. In many of the cameras you can't even see the road.

Why is it that Bend, OR still has no truck stops?
I could get there easily and shorten my final run, but there is nowhere decent to park. Even the Walmart's there are bad for trucks.

    Today has been screwy.

Maybe Fontana, Maybe Hesperia, we shall see.

Go to sandiego to find Empty at fritolay, the empty isnt there. One loaded trailer. That load gets canceled.

So i shuttled 3 skateboards from the Otay mesa yard to M&L. So they could load em with lift gates.

Then bobtailed to UPS in San Marcos and picked up a lease trailer going to Adelanto. About to deliver that if i can. Im being told i can.

Had a load to Baton rouge that got cancelled.

Now i have one going to Dallas provided i can find the almighty empty. After i drop off this lease trailer.

The jabber on the CB years ago, was that oregon just lets trucks break that crap up.

Whether or not there is creedence to it, idk.

empty I grabbed from Miller brewery I ended up keeping.
didn't turn it into the empty lot.
even though I would have got another empty when I came back today, I didn't want the hassle lol.
    dl didn't seem to mind.
He know how I hate looking for one

Looks that way. I have seen zero evidence of any snow plows on US 20.

It won't be my truck breaking it up. I'm not ready to go slip-sliding-away on those hills.
I'll sit here until I think it is safe.

Right now UPS is hoarding the empties.

200-300 trailers all empty sitting in the above circled area, and ECT can't release a single one. Fleet manager or terminal manager might be able too though. Screenshot_2020-01-14-20-53-53~2.png

How do you know they are Swift trailers?
And that does not look like a UPS place.

And how would you get one out of there, even if ECT released it?

And, what does ECT have to do with it in the first place? They are night and weekend people and have less power to do anything.
