How many tickets are a deal breaker?

Been driving since late 2011 and this is a new one for me. Had a couple of relatively minor moving violations from late 2015 back when I was driving taxi in NY that finally hit my abstract back in late 2018...I think the latest conviction was 11/2018. They ended up swirling around in the NYC traffic court system over there for awhile while my traffic attorney was trying them scrubbed. (he actually did get one dismissed.). No tickets pending now and nothing since then.

Been looking around for a new job for a few weeks now and was supposed to meet a guy about a job tomorrow, and just finally ran my new abstract today for the first time in 6 months, since he was requesting it and saw they finally caught up to me. Never had driving record issues before so was wondering what I was up against here in other people's experience. I've sent out a couple other apps and haven't heard much luck so far and finally realized this probably had something to do with that LOL. Am I hosed on a driving job for the next couple years or will it just be a little harder? The job I was supposed to meet about tomorrow was not even a "trucking job" per se, but rather a job working for a trailer repair shop driving parts around in a F550 sized truck. I sent him an email right away explaining best I could, not wanting to waste anybody's time.

Maybe you should slow down and take your time.

Actually only one of them was for speeding (1-10 mph). They caught me going like 35 in a 25 where most people would fly off that bridge at like 45. The other I believe was a restricted left turn between 4-7pm and it was like 6:52 or something LOL. I actually didn't mind taxi on a good night...was an interesting break from trucking but the tickets get a lot of guys. It's a racket like everything. Those days are over though.

I'd bet a decent traffic attorney could get that lost ticket to go away altogether.

I once received a speeding ticket for going 71 in a 55 mph zone in a rental car. My attorney got the ticket reduced to an equipment violation. This was near Elizabethtown, New York.

Another NYC taxi driver that used to post on here had 12 tickets & fender benders, then went to cdl school and had a good trucking job within a few days.
He found the job on Craigslist. He posted that on Craigslist, he made dozens of phone calls and left dozens of messages and it paid off well.

May Trucking Company sometimes cuts slack.
You looking for local work or OTR?
Ads that have "safe driving record" does not mean you can't have any tickets.
