Driving a Truck Before Orientation

    So starting a local job but they are sending me with a driver the night before orientation to learn the route. IDK if the driver is going to want me to drive or not but im curious if im allowed to drive the company truck before I do all the paperwork. Just wanna cover my ###. Usually the papwerwork comes first. I have done a drug test/physical/application for them and thats it so far.

    You probably wont have to drive, but if you do, nobody needs to know.

    You probably won't drive. You are probably going to work though.. this is to weed out people who won't last an entire shift. This is actually pretty smart of the companies

    Sounds like you nervous about driving the truck if the guy asks you to because you worried you gonna mess up. Put that stuff aside and don’t worry

    I wouldn't drive if paperwork hasn't been taken care of. Any snaffu and you're NOT under their insurance yet...

    Some of the advice in this thread is just about not caring about safety or regulations.
