Let's say that you are up a creek in a big city without a paddle and you need a cross dock.

What is the process that you use to find one suitable for you?

Until a better answer comes along you can open google and search for "cross dock" followed by city and state.

What would you need that for?

Try calling an LTL company and ask them for a favor.

We called those transfer docks. Usually up to 10 docks on side of the building big enough to take 18 wheelers and the other side is primarily straight trucks and pup trailers for downtown delivery in the Baltimore area. Many LTL companies had it set up that way. The interior between the two sides that held docks were about a acre of clear concrete under cover but not heated or cooled. Only the office and shop was.
