Those looks like the “cheap” 5/16-3/8 binders with a wll of 5400lbs that are standard issue at my company. I have rounded up 6 or so 3/8-1/2 binders that have a wll of 9200lbs. That way I get my full rating on a 3/8” g70 chain. But I also pull trailers with higher rated securement points then the flatbed you're pulling.

As far as the straps I would have put them where you put your 6 chains in the middle. With the rubber under them also. Chains are heavy, straps are light!

C8C8ACCF-B742-4AE5-98BF-4593F9E9C884.jpeg Went sightseeing in NYC over the weekend. I have 2 sons who live there so they showed us around town. Today we ended up in lower Manhattan, I hauled steel to this building about 6-7 years ago. I took the sections of this stairway to a galvanizing plant in Boston before they went to the jobsite. I remember someone in Boston asking me if they were pieces for an amusement park ride...

Man has it been slow. Like 1 day a week of work slow.
(although last week i got a full week doing "training" to do some LTL work when the main guy goes on vacation/etc in a Conestoga. looks like every other Conestoga, no need to do pics.)

    today though a vessel:

I asked the guy he said it's a Oil/gas separator. Load it up, bring it to this place that cleans them and just drop the trailer. (secured).
