Hell at least two times in a month they failed to pay me due to issues with their transflo and payroll department "not receiving documents" even though I had confirmation numbers showing that they were sent.
Of course they corrected it by overpaying me the following week, but the taxes on that were ridiculous.
Considering Joining with WE, They want me to sign a year long contract.

In situations like that when keeping a apartnemnt became a impossible situation I closed out everything and moved back to my folks place. In exchange for a small income working dishes at a fast food joint building savings every night. Took me a few months but two thousand in cash off 4.25 wage per hour did not take too long. Just alot of walking back and forth conserving insurance, gas and vehicle related costs that year for me was a dark one. But we got through it.
Where I am reading this from you I think you better get something going that has something besides trucking for income. If there is say a auction house near you, you can rake in 50 or more dollars daily shuffling vehciles including heavy trucks and RVs etc if you have a CDL that big. Thats what I did here in Arkansas that turned into a years long stretch working out of there. The reason I had to stop was I was blind in 2009 and surgery took care of that. And am happy they did. Because as I stated before end of life scenarios were being carefully considered as the medical and physical issues of being blind set in pretty seriously. Chop up your hands trying to fix toast and next you see is a caregiving nursing office at 18.60 a hour charged to you so you do not chop yourself up anymore.
There are resources. But at this point in time if you ended up in a subshop making sandwitches at minimum wage, you will be paid relatively fast. Then build savings against a reentry into trucking. Be sure not to allow your Medical DOT to lapse or expire, get a replacement card or ... swear out a tier two until you can replace with a valid dot medical.
Also as of 6th this month your name needs to be in a drug database. No trucking company in America is legally allowed to touch you as a driver unless your name is part of this database. Which also means you never refused a drug test, had a hot drug result and so on.
In addition, if you hold Hazmat you are going to be issued new requirements to further subdivide and hold a warrant for particular KINDS of hazmat. For example. Carboys, about 2000 pounds of liquid in a van trailer, thats over the 1001 pound limit and you become a tanker for that purpsoe so you need that endorsement as well as the specific permit to haul that kind of liquid hazmat in the future, where in the past no one cared that your dry van contained say 20000 pounds of sloshing liquid acid of something.
Many changes are coming in. And some I don't view as good changes. Just a orgy of overregulating things that were not really a problem in the past.
Another idea is to find a food cold storage place lining up with docks and lumpers for cash money. Lump several trailers on your own, split the proceeds with the dock boss for his time overseeing you. Go home with hundreds cash.
You cannot expect to do this long term, you are literally robbing yourself when it's time for SS to pull your lifetime earnings and see that you did not make anything reportable to them. Even if you were detected as having made a income as cash, they will prosecute you for failing to pay taxes on that unreported income. You don't want that trouble.Last edited: Jan 15, 2020

Well if your that bad off and western is the only or fastest one to step forward. Then stop procrastinating and go to western. Screw the contract, keep your nose clean, stop having incendent. Once your back on your feet explore your options. You only have 4 months experiance, so I'd suggest you TRY to stay a year. But stay 6-7 months and get a year under your belt. After that if you want to leave, 5hen leave. Your contract will tell you what if any you have to pay back. Tackle that when your feet are on solid ground. If they take you to court and you have to pay them $50-100 a month. Well that might suck, but does it suck as much as being destitute? It's either that or a Chicago craigslist company. I'd say try (crst) Crash Roll Stunt Team or (swift) Sure Wish I Finished Training. But sounds like you already did. Do what you gotta do to stay off the streets.

Well if your DAC is messed up, you may have to take what you can get. Incidents, plus inexperience is what's killing you. You've had multiple incidents in such a short time. You just have to focus on gaining experience and keeping focus on your driving skills. Western is better than nothing

then as we all know, so many more jobs NEVER advertise, you have to walk in and ask.
that's a major problem these past few years.. people want the jobs to come to them....
back in the old days, we went in person. even if they only take online applications, i say go to that company's nearest location and have a quick sit down with the manager, dispatcher, whomever it takes, if you really wanna work.
too many (in my opinion) just either do not want to work, or want Carte Blanch .when hired...gotta prove yourself first, with EACH employer, as you are only as good as your last run.bryan21384 Thanks this. -
Almost destitute? I would say to pump the brakes. Find something, anything locally, like warehouse or fast food to get you some kind of income flow fast. Running from one crap company to another while your butt is on fire is almost guaranteed to bring you back here in a few weeks or a month saying "Well I was with Werner, then I went to WE and that was the worst..blah...blah...blah.
As others have said, look at local companies, check Craiglist, etc. Rushing through employment with marginal companies at this point in your career can make you end up with a worthless CDL if you are not careful -
If I were you I’d go to WE and get the training they are offering.
Let’s be honest, you have 1 accident, 1 “alleged” accident, and 3 non reportable in less than half a year?
