Truck Hit By Train

Looks like there is newish asphalt over the tracks. wonder if that's what hung it up.

 

Awful. But when that train sounds it horn, it's time to skedaddle.

 

Wouldn't think it possible in today's age. Maybe didn't have his landing gear up all the way.

 

Just a reminder:

Should you become involved in an emergency situation at a railroad crossing, call the number on the sign near the gate arms. This sign will have on it the railroad's assigned location number for that particular crossing.

Railroad dispatch can more quickly stop a train with this information than a call from 911.

 

Leslie 5 chime horn can be heard 5 miles away. Unless that fellow was deaf, they should have heard the horn. There is no excuse for his death.
Agreeing with Dave. Landing gear must not have been fully retracted.

Yeah this stuff should never result in death and barely result in truck being hit call the number on the crossing gate.

It was a pneumatic trailer so ether hung up on the landing gear or the mainline under the trailer but it looks to be a level crossing from the chopper footage.

 

why not leave the ####en truck and run away... I don't understand people... better be 2-3 years in American 3 star prison than underground without light, food and warmth...
