I run Schaeffer products in my fuel and have no problems.as for the fuel filters just stick a winter beanie hat over the filters and zip tie them.cheap way to keep them from freezing.
Well I ate my words on fuel additives this morning.

I never had problem with the yellow fuel . I always thought the yellow stuff was treated since it is always yellow up north and green was un treated and down south. Unless i am colorblind
bryan21384, bzinger and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
The fuel does tend to be yellow in the north. When it looks whitish, that's when my mind starts wandering. I think I was in South Carolina at Pilot last week when I noticed it to be whitish as it was pumping. I hurried up and burned it. Then got fuel in Illinois the next time. It's always yellow in Illinois

Water/ice is as big a problem as gelling fuel when the cold snap first hits......
Dave_in_AZ and bzinger Thank this. -

Also, since paraffin doesn’t burn, but rather melt, it’s BTU is zero. So green diesel (less or 0 ethanol) has higher BTU.

I just got up myself and watched a video from Minnesota state patrol in clay county (moorhead area) complete whiteout .
It hasn't started here yet but blizzard warnings now posted for all of western and southern Minnesota.
I like my choice even more now lol.Dave_in_AZ and Cabinover101 Thank this.
