I can see that, I started out young and oversize, so being young missed out on the stressful aspect of it, or at least that is the story I am going with. lol

Some long overhangs, you have to watch your tail swing in places, but sounds like you got her done with no problems. Then again, if you have a long tractor like mine and can overhang the front, you have to pay close attention when turning in somewhere tight, it can reach out there and grab something if you don't. lol

Well, I'm glad it all worked out.

Props to you. They couldn't pay me enough to flatbed.

I'm a tanker yanker. I like to cruise by here every so often for the flatbed stories!

I think that might be next. I think flatbed is fun but I'm trying to balance staying in it long enough to fend off old and weak syndrome...while getting out before I get broken....

That's as tight as I feel comfortable with still having to make turns lol.

after hauling many 60 ft and longer loads i agree that that is tight enough for a 5 ft high load, you should have enough room to climb a rise while turning.

Looks like you have it handled. Just be mindful of the tail swing if you get into a tight spot and have to turn.

this is what will make you better at anything you do .... worry about is in advance then when you do it - it will be better than you anticipated

it is the guys that know everything and won’t listen to anything that get into trouble

plus you can feel a sense of accomplishment and treat your puppy to a nice meal or toy for helping you along

I might have figured that out the hard way;)

I was aware of the problem of course.

Had a 12x60. Double T. Had 6ft over the front of a 48. Making a turn into the site (fairly tight gate to be coming in but did it daily, miss judged it that day.) , the wing of the T was tall enough to clear the fence. However.

The wood clamp I put on the wing to hold on my flag, hung down enough to get ripped off by the fence, oops.

Not what I would call on oversize load. Was it wider that the trailer? Was it taller than 14 foot.
This was a long load, not quite the same, but takes some consideration just as any other.

read your permits, all pages. If any doubt, check the states DOT pages. All the information is on the permits for the state requirements. County and city, most likely not.
Usually have to call them to get the required information and permits.
