Pepsi's process can be kind of slow, just when your sure your out they call and ask a question, like when did your Med expire? or what makes you the best person for the job...Good luck.. Going thru it myself for a shuttle position, I ve done the job, I ve been called out a a temp for over a year , still have to go thru the same process.

like @Powder Joints says, things can be slow at some employers, and here is one example.

i had applied at the very least 4 TIMES to my state DOT (road crew). for one job or another, that required a CDL license. according to the ad on the state employment website, training WOULD BE available to a qualified applicant.

there i was with the minimum of (then) 30 years experience, clean MVR, clean background, good references.

fill out application.....1 month before they contact you for an interview

then wait (on average) 1 month for any road test.

then wait (again on average) 1 month for any drug test.

if denied, it takes about 1 month for a denial letter saying that they have someone with more qualifications.

so, you'll have to be patient, but i'd NOT sit and wait for that call or letter, i'd be pounding pavement looking for work.

oh yeah, all 4 times i applied to my state DOT..??

i got turned down......(i don't know no one to get in) for that cushy state job.

PepsiCo uses a company called FirstAdvantage to maintain all of their driver files, including your medical card, certificate of past violations, employment history etc. That's what that is for, you likely left a gap on the employment history.

It's easy to get on down here in missouri with modot I have a few friends working for them. Great benefits but terrible pay 12 dollars a hour isnt going to cut it no matter how good the bennies are.

that's the thing, when you KNOW someone, you get in...

frankly, i have always liked getting a job on my own, with my earned experience and skills, and owe NO ONE favors.....

Some of my trucking jobs was literally a 5 minute talk over a smoke int he drivers room, then a short trip out and back with some random driver to see how i do and orders to be back at a early time in the yard ready to work.

    Those days are gone forever.

I do take a shot at Frock Brothers up on the Hanover Road near US 15, I went up there climbing their cardiac stairs three floors to run in a application that got larger as the years went by. Always the same dry answer, thank you but come back some other time.

I did that for years. The last time I just tossed the whole app package into the waste bin next to the desk. And that was the end of that. By that time it was about a hours work writing everything out.

exactly, and i was never one to "kiss butt" or get chummy with anyone for specific reasons.

just like i never gave out my employers information to anyone. as it stood, i HAD a cushy job with them, (much later) and if anyone wanted that job with my company, then they had to look for it, i wasn't about to hand it over.

i do not like "owing" on a favor, so i did things on my own
