    Last night, i was cussin. Alone out in the middle of nowhere Nebraska in the dark, a steep narrow 1/4 mile drive to climb weighing about 60,000, to pump off a couple thousand gallons of liquid.

    Fell hard once and slipped a few times. An hour outside in the open in 5° F and some wind. And lots of dark. Then figure out how to get turned around and get out without sliding off or gettin stuck.

    Got back and put the truck to bed with full tanks at 50/50 with plenty of Howes so it will make it through the next 2 nights of -12°F.

    Then today, a 3 day weekend off. As a snowstorm rolled in early this morning. Got to sit home today instead of rolling out into blowing snow. Storm's back now tonight, with lots bigger winds but less snow.

    I have the whole weekend for them to clean up the roads before i have to roll out on Monday morning. And plenty of time to sleep. Oh joy.

    We never shut off below 10. If it means shes running three days at the house (which would require fueling at least once during that time) the company would be ok with it in my experience that was what we did.

    It can be very good to be home resting and sleeping several days while eating healthy. By the time monday rolls around you will be bright eyed and bushy tailed ready for battle.

    As we got older the cold weather became less welcome. The amount of layered wear became almost like a astronaut unable to move around in that great big condo at times. =)

    Hopefully you got a block heater plug in or at least an apu to keep it warm or warm it up before you try and start it

    It is brutal out here right now . im headed to the house after this drop. My family called me last night and said it was 75 degrees :rolleyes: meanwhile i was in iowa at 5 below and windchill around 20 below . life aint fair sometimes lol

    I just arrived in Phoenix for a load that started in Boise. It's freekin 77 degrees here. I feel like I'm on vacation. I even splurged at BB and got the snow crud washed off my rig.
