How big of rock would you haul in a aluminum frame trailer with liner(liner does go up the sides alittle bit). May have a job coming up that requires 1x3 rock. My only concern is damage from rock when loading. Thanks
Alum.Dump how big of rock

Rock three inches long and at least one thick?
You will need to have a front end dozer who knows how to be gentle. Lay down the first layer in the bottom with two scoops and then go ahead and dump the rest in. We had stone trucks with steel buckets of about 30 foot trailer with mack R's and did not care less what went in there.
My old Dump was also a alumum bed, we hauled rock about that size constantly with no apparent damage but I am pretty sure if you really looked it over there are dents.
Aluminum is not my choice versus rocks. Especially if they are really big rocks. -
I would not be afraid of 1X3 rock, especially with a liner.

1x3 rock won't do much damage to an aluminum bed even without a liner. You shouldn't worry about anything with that load ...well except tarping. Tarping 1x3 with a pull tarp sucks
