Union car haul companies do not have multi tier pay scales. Every body gets the same rates for loading, drops and loaded miles. No cars on truck = no pay.
Car hauling is not for sissy drivers. I retired from car haul after 25 years. Now I swing doors part time, like a paid vacation.

The Best way to be Succesful in this Business is to work to your Full Potential.Maxx out in a Top Area...Top Pay..haul better freight etc.Youll make about Twice what you probably would hauling for a Mega.$600 to $800 at a Mega vs.$1300 to $ 1750+. Best advice is apply yourself 100%. Dont damage anything or get any tickets and you could go a long ways. Think ahead...be Alert always.Pay attention to proper load securement, axle weights. Ask Questions.Id be all over it. JMO

The flat top truck alone is enough for me to
    Never do car hauling.
Can't stand up, getting dressed laying down.
Fridge on the passenger seat, television on the bed.
    No thanks.
    Work like a dog, sorry.
No room for any type of comforts.

You can make good money plenty of other places
    And be comfortable doing it.
Let the other guy live like a slob.

With a union carrier you sleep in a motel every night, lots of personal space there.

Getting dressed laying down or standing up, what's the difference?
What television? We got tablets now, they're really cool.
