I'm a company driver when I was hired they promised me 35% of the load. The truck made 4250 for the week. They charged me 1051.36 for fuel. The subtotal was 3198.64. So the driver was payed 1119.52. when I asked about it they told me I'm responsible for 35% of the fuel cost this doesn't make any since I feel like I'm getting beat out of money. If I was owner operator running under there authority I could see the fuel charge but then I should be making 80% of the load.

Obviously an illegal 1099 job. Go get a real job and stay away from the 1099 scumbag outfits.

Get away ASAP. Also, get that fuel deduction noted for tax purposes. It is tax deductable in most situations.

you are responsible for ALL of your 'payroll taxes' too....you need to set it up to pay the IRS quarterly estimated withholding, FICA, unemployment comp, ETC.

    Hence my advise.

    baha Thanks this.
