Hey guys I have a M11 Cummins in a 94 Freightliner that will start right up but then die within a few minutes. I checked the antifreeze level and it good as fare as the low coolant sensor goes.. Do they have a low fuel pressure shut off? I think my fuel pump might be going out a I found metal shavings in the secondary fuel screen.. Also I hooked a test light to the fuel switch on the pump and when whatever it is that is causing the shut down it is cutting power to the fuel switch, on and off sporadicly..

Are you sure you don’t have one of those trucks that set up like that they only idle for a little bit and then they die unless you set the idle up or reprogram it!

    Josh Butcher Thanks this.

Yeah I though of that too but this one has never been set up for that, that I know of and it was doing it while we where driving it when it first started..
