Dot website kinda confusing. I have the amber light sticker permit. Isnt that all i need for georgia and is 60 rebar considered oversize in Georgia? I know in alabama it isnt. Just load it n go. Thanks in advance

Under 100’ overall you don’t need a permit. I have always over hung the front of the trailer so I’m not sure what the max rear overhang before you need a permit. Make sure you pull your signs ASAP once you cross into Georgia.

It used to be no more than 1/3 of load could hang off the back of trailer in GA. with a big yellow strobe or the old spinning light on back of load? it was so you may use a 45ft. trailer to haul 60ft loads

If im under 75 overall is it even considered oversize. Alabama 60’ rebar is load n go. Not considered oversize

My rear hangoff probly 5-6 foot. Heck log trailers do more than that with just a flag

You’d probably know better than I, but I thought it was legal to 75 overall, permit 75-100 with amber light permit and rotating strobe on top of rear - then escort and permit over 100’ overall.
