Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Sounds like the last one I tried to move into... just freaking gross... told CN I’ll gladly stay in my clean 18xx truck... luckily there’s were two trucks available so I thankfully ended up in the other one... a few more bumps and bruises on the exterior but the interior wasn’t sticky and gross.

So... I guess we are all at the wrong site... even dispatch was telling the first guy on site “ya, right place... right next to the cvs”... lol

But... someone came over from the right site to see what we had... and the right site isn’t ready for us either... no concrete floors and totally wasn’t aware 7 trucks were rolling in to visit them this morning... and no room for 7 trucks over there either.

Just talked to a team that’s been sitting in WM due to “no freight”... they also don’t have a DM as someone was let go... so that contributes to them sitting I’m sure...

Wally goes to Orientation and it all falls apart

Ouch! That’s kind of my day right now. Broke down in the door at Givens. Trucky no worky.

 

That Sucks... this guy took forever to get Knight and Loves to coordinate getting him taken care of... hope you have a better experience.

 

Called at 12:20, waited 20 minutes for someone to answer and still waiting for them to find someone to come out.

 

Im missing volvo action service after dealing with Knight breakdown myself few times....

 

Yeah, this truck was sticky and grimy and gross with sunflower seed shells on floor and in cracks I get em out and there were empty bottles and cans shoved under the carpet in the sleeper scratches and gouges where they fixed some stuff themselves. Passenger door panel was cut open cuz the door locked on them and was stuck, glue on the dash and it is only a year old truck.....

 

And the saga continues.....towing my truck back to RVA and another local is grabbing the trl (and me). He’s taking the trl to the yard and me to my house. Don’t know how I’m going to get to work tomorrowy, but that’s an issue for tomorrow. I’m just hoping the tow truck gets here before they close the gates at Givens on Ellsmere Ave. Oops! One closed already! Oh boy! It’s been such a lovely day. At least it wasn’t cold as crap, but now that it’s getting dark, it’s getting there.
