Inverter?

Get the 3000 watt pure sine wave.


The overhead, meaning the amount of power to run the inverter electronics is so close that the bigger is actually the better.

 

If your current inverter has the amp capacity to handle the additional load of your freezer and satellite system just use it.

There is some loss of power with any inverter so adding another one if not needed will just drain your batteries quicker.

 

We run a 3000 watt inverter. And only run a freezer. No issues.

 

I run a 1500 watt modified (not pure sinewave) inverter. Runs my fridge , tv and laptop. I have a 700 watt microwave that of course only runs for minutes at a time. Make sure the batteries are in good shape. I do have a apu but after a full day of driving it usually auto starts early morning to recharge.

 

volts x amps = watts

 

117 volts x 2.4 amps = 280.80 watts

 

My Tri Pac ingersoll rand inverter which looks to be about an 800 or 1000, it's 8 years old the factory set up, won't run a microwave.

Laptop, tv, no problem.

Microwave no go, even with truck running.

 

Make sure the cables from the battery to the inverter are large. It makes a big difference.
