I keep saying it, but it bears repeating: coming up with all of the nightmare scenarios of what may go wrong has nothing to do with whether it will happen or not. Appeals to emotion alone can never win a debate.
When online banking first became a thing, I could have cited pretty much all of the same reasons you just did for why it won't happen - and it happened nonetheless. -
It will never be FULL autonomous. Some of us can’t be replaced by OTTO. Van of course is easy to automate

Nobody gets a prize for correctly guessing when it will happen. Why does ANYONE care? It's less important than 2 nerds arguing about which dinosaur could kill which other dinosaur.

I just posted a video last week of how they were going out of business, the upkeep on the trucks are too expensive and they can’t make any money.

As soon as the tech is made more affordable AtA and other lobbyists groups will be contacting Congress and neither safety or job loss concerns will stop it . As long as checks are cut and palms are greased it will happen.
