Volvo exhaust manifold

Turbo if everything is good I can have it swapped in an hour providing no seized bolts manifold in about 6 all together being that egr bolts will always break but if I have to replace manifold no more that 6 for both or manifold separate either way turbo comes off so. I extra charge for turbo replacement when removing manifold. I don’t see y the 14 hrs usually for me I will bill anywhere from 8 to 10.

 

Hi, nasriza what are the turbo mounting bolts torque specs? I put a new turbo but seems like having a leak under load. Sorry for hijacking the thread. Thanks

 

Better to quote high and get it done quick than to underquote and have the guy piss and moan that it took too long and that the shop is incompetent.

 

leak is probably coming from boost side.

 

For the most part it depends on the mechanic doing the job. I am a mechanic and as an example a while ago I had an oil change and greasing Todo and because of some costum things added to the truck ( drain plug etc) took 2 hours instead of 1. Depends on how easy it goes. Generally we respect or fall into the estimated times, but #### happens. People must realize that we don't have time to #### around on just 1 truck when there is another 20 waiting. Trust me it's non stop.
Long story short, the experience of the mechanic doing the job will determine the time it takes. Trust me I work at a dealership.
