    Outside of europe at this moment. Will be back in about 1 week, if all goes well.
    Too busy lately, too many things going on

    Do you know engine serial number?

    For now, provide as much information as possible. Lots of knowledgable people here, willing to help you.

    First thing in my opinion is to make sure you get power to all the right ECM pins, and have good grounds.

    Based on your info, and what I find on my computer, you should have constant 12 V on C-connector pins 20, 21, 22 and 23.
    Switched power, from key, on c-connector pin 26
    Ground on c-connector pins 9, 25 and 27.

    I'll keep watching this thread, please keep us updated on your progress.

    Where in Germany are you and the truck?

    If it is not running by the time I get back to Europe, I'll contact you.

    I'll probably be in Dusseldorf area in next couple of weeks. Hopefully you have it running again by then.

    If you are it that area, and it still does not run, I'll come over with diagnostic computer to hook up to ECM. Have to get it running again, one way or another.

    Thats a fine looking truck, go back to where you said you had a short in the wire that sparked when the batt. was connected and follow it and be sure it did not melt on to another wire any place near batt.

    @all

    Hey guys, this forum is awesome. Thanks for all that help.
    Concerning the problem I will check on Monday where I have power and where not. Today I could see that there goes a bunch of cables in the direction starter. I think, there is not the cable for the ECM inside. Another bunch goes up in the direction engine ECM. There some Plugs in this bunch - see the photo. Could one of them be a fuse??
    @baha
    The truck was nice. The picture is some years old. After a motorcycle accident I could not drive the truck and she stood in a corner. This made her not better. Now I will do everything to have a show truck again. I can open both sides of the trail with wing sides and there is a stage inside.
    @KVB
    Duesseldorf is just 40km from here. I am in 47495 Rheinberg, close to the Dutch border. Where are you coming from? Are there other trucks in the region where you are from?
    @spsauerland
    I think, it is the fuse you mentioned in the last picture. Now I have to find it. It might be shown in the picture. Your forum name is quite German. Are you from here or is your family from here?

    I live in Belgium, close to the border with The Netherland.
    I often go to Eindhoven (NL) for work, so to Venlo and into Germany is not too bad from there. Probably about 1 hour to get to your place from Eindhoven.

    I actually go to Straelen every now and then to get the Aral Ultimate gasoline. It's been a while now, I've been too busy working. Not enough time for racing. So not much need for the good fuel.

    Just few kilometres north of my place, across the border, are a few USA trucks. One Pete 359 with Big Cam 400, one W900L with N14 Celect+, same owner as the 359.
    There is also a 379 with a Series 60 Detroit.
    Not bad for a small village, population 6000.

    I did work on all 3, mostly the 359 (brakes, rewiring, and some maintenance and repair jobs) but also the diagnostics on all of them.

    There are a lot more, but they are a further away from my place.
    Most of them hobby trucks.

    There used to be several North American working trucks in my area, best known is probably Jan Steijns, who had a K100 and W900L, along with some DAF trucks. Many years ago.

    The company used to be about 10 miles from my place
    Jan moved to Cannada, I think he was in ice-road truckers at some point.
    As far as I know the company still exists, but new owners, and moved to a different location.

    @biglion I've got a few relatives from Duesseldorf and Frankfurt. If I didn't dislike flying so much I'd head over there to find them.

    You can sail across.
    Commercial boats do rent cabins to people who want to sail across a ocean.

    I've definitely considered it. I only know about 3 words in German so I'd need to pick up a phrase book!
