It really is shameful that a dealership, especially Volvo, who only has to concentrate on 2 different engines (Cummins and Volvo) and has all of the resources such as engineering and factory help just a phone call or email away can't eventually make this situation right. We all make mistakes. Some of us more than others. I don't have an answer why some places are like this. I have to learn about every engine and truck on the market to make my shop successful. That does not mean I am smarter than other guys at other shops. In fact the dealership techs should be "smarter" than me since they are constantly working on the same trucks and engines with the same problems constantly. That is why guys like Heavy D on the International forum are great. There is nobody better than him on IHC, Maxxforce and Cummins issues. You don't hear him chiming in on Volvo engines. Sorry guys. Rant over.

The first guy I would think of if I had an unsolvable Volvo issue has already chimed in. Getting that truck to him in Chicago, even 30 miles at a time, would be what I would do.
Thanks Nasriza and @QUALITYTRUCK too for all the advice you guys give.spsauerland and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -
