those that drive for knight transportation please don’t hit black ice because this company will put a preventative accident on you even if you don’t get cited then they will force you to resign to forfeit your unemployment if you’re a company driver . They should be ashamed of themselves to falsely accused drivers of unsafe driving when they sit in front of you and say we know it wasn’t your fault you’re a safe driver then put you in a position where you can’t work and provide for your family. Again work for knight transportation at your own risk you’ve been warned truckers

I appreciate the warning. Knight Transportation is certainly off my list now!
Vic Firth, Puppage, BigHossVolvo and 5 others Thank this. -
Did you have to get towed because you slid on ice?
-
There are certain conditions that cultivate black ice making it a preventable. Else, one should only accept being fired vs. quitting if attempting to get unemployment. I’d still file for it if it where me.

@Daycow75
Why did you start this thread, then report it?born&raisedintheusa, Lonesome, TB John and 1 other person Thank this. -
Forced to resign? Maybe a more coherent telling of the circumstances after you calm down. There is not enough scraps of information here to make any kind of judgment. Take a breath come back with the rest of your story.
TB John Thanks this. -
Forced to resign? Never. I'd purposely make them fire me. Black ice is not willful misconduct or insubordination, so you would likely get your unemployment. Quitting usually is not considered a legitimate reason to collect.
Still, as was mentioned above. File. Unless this is a total BS story, you may or may not get it, but you won't know if you don't try.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
It's the way it is. You have a wreck of any kind, you will get it noted on your MVR, especially if you're towed. No reason for you to be mad at Knight Transportation. They can argue that you should have parked in icy weather. Chalk it up, work somewhere else
snowlauncher Thanks this. -
Why were you on black ice? That reason alone will get you fired at some trucking companies.
snowlauncher and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Exercising due diligence and a little bit of anticipation can go a long way, but you can still get caught completely off guard in an instant in borderline temps...TxFLdino57, Western flyer, TB John and 2 others Thank this.
