Yesterday was a day. There’s a terminal right behind our yard on the side street so I’m pulling out the yard and just before I pass the street some idiot from another fuel company blows right through his stop sign luckily I check all my intersections and was able to stop in time but man not even 15second out of the yard. Then the second stop I pull to they have caution tape around all of their pumps so I called and asked to make sure, turns out they hadn’t paid their bill and been out of fuel since earlier that day. So I got hooked up it was all coax- and had gas back feeding through my vapor line which was a fun time trying to clear. Then I get to marathon and guy from another company is trying to race smh. I mean the terminal is empty and he’s bumper to bumper, I pull up for my safety check and he’s already running g towards the booth. Didn’t even do a check just pulled in... he must be making the big big bucks

I want to know how much speedway/marathon drivers make? Yesterday a speedway driver was in such a rush he burnt rubber into the rack and was trying to bobble his helmet while putting his jacket on. Nothing good comes out of rushing like that... Then my last stop of the night was one screwed up station I had 87 ,93 and ulsd. Typically no problem but the genius that designed the station is somewhere laughing his but off. You have to pull in off the side street pull out to the Main Street and then back into position. Now from here 87 is on the right and 93 and diesel are on the left.. if you sit in the middle you have to long hose everything. So against my routine of getting the odd product off first I knocked out my 87 pulled up and reversed closer to my other two tanks on the left Then knocked out diesel and and 93. Also first time doing driver side unload. If the driver side didn’t work I would’ve had to drive around the block to come back and nose in which after I would’ve had to back to the Main Street... but got’er done. So far the only problem station I’ve encountered

And it’s the slow season and I’m not pushing my hours!!!! They only schedule 4 days a week(you can pickup a 5th and 6th if you want) but it’s Been about 20 degrees out side so I haven’t been picking up a 5 or 6th day. Without any safety bonus’s or holiday pay I can make 60k without breaking a sweat.. today is the last day of my rotational 6th week so I got 6 days in a row off. So I mean I got 0 complaints. Seen a Schneider tanker at the light yesterday so I honked the horn and rolled my window down to say what’s up but he had his orange had and jacket on and was in full Schneider mode... and based off his location he was lost.

Today I set my record of 5 stops. I think today was a test as I Had two splits and a regular drop and each of the stops except the last were interesting pull-ins. Also ran into no allocation and had to split a split bill wise. Lots of detailed work making sure the orders were right but no biggie. Even had my first encounter with a remote fill.

Just received my W2s from schneider for last year and from Jan-Nov27th I made 34k gross hauling tanker. A big majority of that was earned late august to nov on a dedicated account. Plus the 4 weeks at 560 a week for training and the 3300 I made in December I’d round up and say 40k gross last year in the 2019 for Schneider if that’ll help anybody interested.
Currently I’m on day 4 of my 6 straight off days and honestly feel like going back to work lol don’t get me wrong I’m enjoying myself but I done scrubbed every dish sparkling clean did every piece of laundry I could find. Knocked out 2 house projects.. almost forgot my occupation lol

And to think when I left there still 2 from my class still there. But man I took that year to really learn the job. Got my fair share of tough maneuvering in. Dealt with almost all of the ugly side of trucking and saw how the game was played.. got me a pretty good gig now because of it
