The Truckers’ Report flatbed Hall of Shame.

Wish I had thought to take a picture. Went to pull on the county road that nucor is on, and some idiot had the intersection all screwed up with his load of beams smashed up into the back of his sleeper. It's barely 500 yards from their drive way to that stop sign. What a freaking tool.

 

Yep. Literally the first stop sign from their drive way. And it's such a short distance I can't believe he got going fast enough the load slid. My bet is he didn't strap his stacked dunnage down before loading and then wasn't paying attention and didn't see the T intersection till the very last second and slammed on his brakes, causing the dunnage to tip over. But even still, had to be really moving for it to all slide up into the cab like that.

 

I think the rope is only holding the ramp up!
I saw a guy towing a similar size mini excavator. He had a chain around the blade pulling front, only problem was the blade was in the raised position. Oh yeah and nothing on the rear.
A while back I stopped in a local tire shop, noticed some putz with a skid steer on a trailer with grossly under inflated tires. I thought "well at least he's getting them taken care of". When I came out of the office they were using a bead cheeah on the skid steer !! Then I noticed the bucket full of concrete slabs and no securement on rear, he had a chain over the bucket though. They did inflate tires on trailer so I guess he was good to go. You can't fix stupid but a concrete slab or flying skid steer may.

 

Well its me again in the hall of shame today.. Doing my first oversize load. it all started off legal enough until i got TQL'd at old castle mulch near atlanta.



the southeast is flooding out bad so anything without a tarp is going fast. Took me probably 3 hours to bind this trainwreck down in a monsoon. I shoulda just told them to forget it. No more bag mulch for me.

The noob loader on my driver side just plain sucked. Cant see a thing behind me no matter how much i cross strap it. Got screens ontop and everything, cant get it pulled back in.

 

...btw thats not a load shift.. The pallets are just too fat. Centers are all touching and its bound very tight.

 

At least he cares about his ramps

 

You could stop every 10 miles and they will be loose.
