I live in the bay area and there are a lot of local hauling jobs. I'm not sure about drivers with new CDL though. Most want at least 2 years experience. I worked for a mega for the first 6 months before looking local. Not sure I'd want to attempt local driving without some experience first. This place is a like a zoo on the highways.

You want to run the roads?
FFE (Frozen Food Express) is hiring and has a Stockton terminal.

We're quite a ways from the Bay Area and we require five years of experience. We almost never have openings.

The OP might look at some of the agricultural haulers in the Dixon area. They'll be hiring soon for the planting and harvest seasons and they'll take somebody with a fresh CDL.

Chavez, Valley Farm, Mike Lowrie, and Button are good places to start and gain some experience.

I have friends there, but they're not in trucking.
    Do you have any endorsements?
    Any opinion on FFE?

Here's an outstanding company that has a Class-B job and might give you a chance.
After 12 months could move to a Class-A truck.

The reason I mention this is because Estes Express had an identical job and the ad was "24 mos exp. required", but I recommend a new cdl school grad apply anyway. He did and was hired on the spot.
