Seeing a lot of these loads pop up. How clean does your background need to be? I had/have a federal felony from 15 years ago, would that disqualify me?

FMCSA maintains a disqualification list and some shippers do not accept drivers that might be a problem. -

So I was fine with that felony. Good to know I can pick up military loads. But the broker over estimated how many trucks he'd need to load is no longer available

I’ve done plenty and the background check is to make sure you aren’t wanted or any recent felonies. I always have issues as someone else with my name in Colorado seems to be wanted for bank robbery. The places I go typically remember my truck so I can joke around a bit.
The US Mint was the hardest to load at cause they actually get in the truck and required more info than military bases I’ve loaded/unloaded at.
Also if you have a dog with you, have their papers ready. I’ve had them asking recently, but i don’t know if that’s at every base.Brettj3876, x1Heavy and Wespipes Thank this. -
