Oh I have faced situations. I used to run for Darden delivering to red lobsters in tight parking lots behind the store.
And a few knots on the thieves who know there is market rate lobster in there along the way.
Our driving is pretty individual and unique. We all have different journeys in the same industry.
The problem is the industry throws away drivers excessively. Scrape a pole, cut a cable or whatever he or she is gone.
Thats BS. Long ago if I popped a tire I bought another. Boss does not notice it for months if I am lucky.
Whats that one?
Oh I don't remember. (Truth...) I do, but that one I already made good with cash out of my pocket. Cheaper than being fired.
I also used to break west coast mirrors. Cost me a 20 for a new one. Until I gained the skills to stop breaking them.

I misjudged how tight that front corner was, and the top right corner of the trailer caught on to a sign, just a bit. No damage to the tractor or trailer, and the sign itself was sheet-metal and plywood. Nothing expensive or excessive, not like I ran full force and damaged masonry, right? That said, I made the mistake and misjudged it. It happens, I contend however that it's certainly not "This guy should never work again" bad.
That ferring thing, I don't know how anyone reasonable can consider that my fault or preventable, and yet some desk-jockey safety-goblin who's probably never driven a rig in his life is going to tell me that it's somehow my fault? That's why I attached photos, you guys can judge for yourself, but based on the observable pattern of breakage, it's apparent to even a casual observer that it's downward and inward, towards the springs, which was the point of tension.
Edit: Is Zvar still trying to comment at me? Is he not aware that I've been ignoring him since I figured out he's a troll?x1Heavy Thanks this. -
And you still refuse to take ownership. No, you are the kind of driver that keeps fmcsa making new regulations we don't need because you keep doing the same thing over and over again.
The fewer drivers like you in the industry, the better.Just passing by and Socal Xpress Thank this. -
@RickS331 Sometimes you just have to suck it up and move past getting tagged with preventables. I know it's not fair. I can also assure you that you are far from the only driver that has had "service" done wrong or slip shot that in the end hurt you. Please understand I am not trying to troll you. The deck is stacked against you 99% of the time when you get into these situations. Some lessons in life are brutal to learn. Hopefully, now you see how important it is to not operate if things are not right. In the end, you are the FINAL authority when it comes to operating OR NOT operating that truck. If the carrier keeps overruling you, then take your services elsewhere, there are many other carriers that won't screw you over like that!
Just passing by Thanks this. -

How's your MVR?
-
My MVR has one accident back in January of 2018, I was making a soda run and made a left turn onto the residential street and some other driver was coming off of the main causeway onto the residential, zoomed in front of me while I was halfway through my maneuver. Nobody hurt, just a little shaken, cosmetic stuff. Exchanged information, and that was that.
There's a 2nd "reported accident" on my MVR dated Dec 8th 2018 that I've been fighting for a while now since I wasn't involved. In arbitration I was found to have 0% liability/involvement, but the way it's written on the police report makes it practically act like a conviction even though the local pd never took a statement from me or issued any summons or citations. I'll be going to the DMV on Monday to request it be taken off of my MVR since it really has no business being there.
Story: Basically I lived in a duplex apartment, the neighbors accused me of sideswiping their car while backing and hitting the electrical transformer adjacent the driveway.
I never hit anything that morning, I did have to chop up some ice and snow to get some traction because I wasn't moving at all though. Made my way to get some Tim Hortons and then on to trucking school since that was a Saturday morning.
What I think actually happened is the neighbors had a friend with an oversized black range-rover van type vehicle parked in the drive, I would guess they backed into the transformer, panicked, then tried to pin it on me. -
Question
I was told if its not on your DAC or clearing house it didn't happen.
I got a refusal for showing up late for a drug test in 2013. I did the SAP. & been driving & working at a low cpm based & passed over for better opportunity based on the refusal.
I have been putting it on application when asked about refusal as yes.
I've checked my DAC & clearing house their isn't any report of the refusal.
The question should i just answer No on the question of refusal. Basically thiers no record of it.Last edited: Feb 12, 2020

In that case I would not say anything about it.
