Friend of mine needs a new actuator or something on his ride, it was getting so it wouldn't back up easily. Company driver.

My 1951 Studebaker Champion has a "Hill Holder". Keeps me from rolling backwards as long as the clutch is held down. Engage the clutch and away you go, no need to fiddle with the brakes or slip the clutch.
Option on many cars starting in the 1930's.

What about rollback while in park. I hit the brake in park then got out of the truck and a minute later it was rolling back in into a wall?

The company I temporarily work for has disconnect the manual override in all their volvos.
