I was headed to PA and when I came out of Kentucky into Ohio my GPS sent me to a no thru truck street when I got to where I could get off that road I was pulled over by Ohio’s finest and tried to explain what happened and they didn’t want to hear it and I received a ticked just as fast as you could turn your head and giving 4 days to be in court me being up there was a one time thing and I’m 1500 miles away and there he’ll bent on me being in court for this anyone have any advice how to handle this ?

Get a lawyer in Ohio that deals with cdls. See if they can stand in for you.

I myself am wondering if he could explain without the phrase, “My GPS.” As soon as he says that, ears are going to close.

Yes the GPS is the problem.

No brain inside the driver. Thats the fault. If we somehow can trip plan without that GPS anywhere like in the old days and understand that some towns will enforce no truck routes then we would have no trouble. (In those days pre GPS we occasionally did, but I paid my fines like a big boy. You win some and lose some. AND LEARN so you don't be doing that again.)

You stop when you see no thru trucks you call law enforcement and ask them what to do.

I find it rather strange that he gave you only 4 days to appear. Most jurisdictions take 7 to 10 days just to get it in the system. Call the court and have it reset to a later date and find you a local attorney to argue the case.

Yea I've never heard of 4 days. When I got my backing ticket my court date was like 2 months later.

Theres so many interstates and big roads up in that area, no reason to get caught on a non truck road running thru 3 states. SMH. Pull out the atlas and trip plan correctly
