Speaking from experience residential trash is the worst that’s just me I could never get over the smell in the summer bad enough to ruin lunch daily. Do they have any roll off companies in your area. Still in the trash industry but deal with more construction debris. A lot of companies will train Rolloff isn’t hard at all once you know the basic

They want like 1-3 years experience with roll off. It’s crazy none of them will train. Same with dump trucks. Like idk

Sometimes you've got to be a little bit aggressive. I got my license in December of 1999 and in July of 2000 I was doing local P/D in Chicago for Vitran Express. For the first 7 months I worked for a driver temp agency until I felt comfortable driving a semi. I walked into the terminal manager's office and said '...you need cdl drivers and I've got a cdl ...gimmie a driving test and let's go from there'. I spent couple of years there until that place turned into a Mickey Mouse outfit

Call a temp agency they will probably only care if you can breath. Lookup true blue / people ready staffing. I worked them out of SoCal, here they weren't bad at all. Gets you experience with lots of different companies. Also look into US Mail Contractors, like Hoovenstol or Alan RIchie.

do you have a ready refresh by nestle in your area? They will definitely hire you if you already have your cdl it’s hard work but you can use it as experience
