Go out and get a job until you can afford plates and break downs it ant cheap being a owner theres no other way around not having a plate or find a company that pays Penny's and gives you a plate

Leasing companies don't care if you have business experience. Heck banks don't either. The main factor in lending decisions is credit score. So go get a couple credit cards and rack up a bunch of debt on junk you don't need and they will be happy to lend you money on a 150k $ truck. But be responsible with your money and stay out of debt and its real hard to get a loan.

I'm puzzled ... now the op doesn't have to reply but someone else can.

When I put a truck in my fleet, I have to send my insurance company the serial number and plate number of that truck, they actually check to see if the plate is valid and registered to my company.

Now I know that some owner don't have to do this but I do.

My insurance company would drop me if I had used a plate that I just got from somewhere else.

And i know I would become a high risk fleet so I would have a hard time insuring the fleet.

I don’t know how it works in your state, but in North Carolina you can’t buy plates without insurance.

That is the same in Ohio. However not once have I been asked to provide it. Just sign a paper stating you wont drive with out it. Silly waste of time.

Nc is bill of sale or title, and insurance. They give either 60 or 90 days for 2290 and will cancel plate if you don’t provide proof it‘s paid.
