They would not be able to access the cab that way anyway. There is usually but not always a 4 inch strap and ratchet holding both doors in. It would be difficult.
Ive already had hostile bad guys invade our cab and go after the wife once. My actions was just automatic and he saved himself by taking off and fleeing. Just sorry that we did not capture him. TN would put him away as a sexual offender etc. Because that was the issue. If I was armed I would have blasted him. Which would fall under our state's statues regarding violent sexual assualt. In certain situations you can use deadly force to get that stopped.
So... just thankful there isnt more of a mess than already was.

On carrying, I know a lot that do in the US that do not go onto military bases. When they go to states where a gun is not legal (CA, MD, Wash D.C. NJ, NY) they carry two small lock boxes. Unload the gun, put it in the lock box, pad lock it and put it in the cabinet with their clothes. The ammo is locked is a separate box with a lock and is also stored. They never have had a problem even with inspections.Last edited: Feb 9, 2020

However you CAN possess a gun provided you prostrate yourself to get a non resident permit. And they are not a shall issue state at all. Nor do they honor anyone else except LEOUSA Permits which are above concealed carry at the Federal Level. They can go places we cannot.Jenn72 Thanks this. -
Well, here's a couple things that no one ever brings up.
I always carry on the road... because you never know.. and I've seen Crazy up close and personal.
You have to KNOW where you're at at ALL TIMES.
Two big things.
1) Even though your CCW may be honored by that state, if you're within a Native Reservation, that's a Sovereign Nation within itself and they ain't gonna like it one bit. Stay on the interstate while on the Res, or lock it up properly if you get onto side roads or a Casino.
2) There are many towns and municipalities that restrict carrying a LOADED weapon.
You have the right to carry... and they honor your permit... but you had better not have one in the pipe!
That can be a trip to the pokey.
They don't put up a sign at the city limits either. You find out the hard way.
I carry w one in the chamber bc I might not have that extra half second to rack it.. or I might be down to one hand.
You don't know.
It's nearly impossible to keep up with each tiny little town you may venture into.
That's where they'll getcha. -

You can carry a long gun anywhere in Arkansas and have a form of consitutional open carry via act 743 for travelers but thats mired in 150+ years of post civil war politics here. -

My colt is designed to have one chambered. Its the way it's going to be.
IDF Core training has already reduced the process of getting that round on it's way to the least amount of time possible.
I have actually replaced all of the buttons on the weapon itself with larger versions. Because the fine tactile and motor control goes away rather quickly.
Carrying and knowing your weapon in detail are two different issues. Too many toss the .32 into the bedroom table and leave it for years. Then one day they really need it and fumble. And that will hurt them.
I am not expert but only with very few weapons in life I know fairly well what I am doing and why etc. The rest of them? HA... enjoy. The USAF made one of my nephews a machine gunner (As was my grandfather) for years. I should teach him of a place in Vegas where he can go and keep the rust off the machine guns there from time to time when he ever leaves the service.
