So I got my license reinstated by AZ for the bargain bin price of $25. All they did was remove my hazmat endorsement and take a bummy picture of me. My hard copy license will be mailed to Utah while I use my paper one for the next month.

Consider it a bargain deal...good thing it didn’t cost you an arm and a leg so to speak...

Have some sliver of good news..
My broken hand has been healing great with the splint so they removed it and put me in a tiny cast for the next month. I have a large range of movement for fingers and thumb, but carrying heavy things is still out of the question. Also the cast is waterproof, so I don't need to shower with a bag anymore. Of course when I checked the mail the university hospital was nice enough to send me a $650 bill for my first visit, not including today's visit or the one I'll have March 11th, so add that to the pile..

My truck will be ready to go Friday. Since I don't fly in until 12:15am Sunday, I'll pick it up early that morning, go to Walmart for some grocery shopping, then bobtail back to Gary and plan to start working again either that morning or Monday.

I've also been trying to contact my SFI account admin for the past week, trying to setup any payment assistance. My insurance will send me a check for $625 for my downtime, and I have $400 in truck credits, but I haven't been able to speak to my account admin at all. I'm sure he's so busy processing new LPs he can't be bothered to take care of the ones he already has..

If I can't get 1-2 payments deferred or something, I'll be catching up on payments probably for weeks. Idk that it even matters though. I've given up on catching my late bills. If it all goes to collections I don't know that I care enough anymore. I don't plan on making any real purchases for at least 15 months, and even if I wanted to by then I'm sure my credit situation would still be in shambles. The only thing I know is that my wife, mother in law and my mother will see to it that our wedding happens in May, even if I can't contribute anything else to it. But beyond that, I have no faith I'll dig out of this hole. After spending 5.5 years in this career, never asking my parents for so much as a dime, I've now found myself asking my parents for several thousands of dollars over the past 8 months. I can't ask them for any more, even if they have it. It's embarrassing to be 27 and asking your parents for a handout because I screwed up basic math. At this point I may just be working because it's the only thing I have left to remotely enjoy.

My sports car and motorcycle are gone. My computer and other prized possessions are in storage. My house is rented out. My Xbox is on the truck but without money for a TV it's dead weight. I'm not home enough to spend time with friends and when I come home I feel awkward and out of place. I don't even feel comfortable drinking a beer or spending time home at all because it's time I could have spent making money in the truck. But if I don't make enough in the truck then yes, as I said, I might just be working because it's the only thing I like to do, despite all the crap that comes with this line of work.

Guess it's just a matter of time until the sun sets on everything I've tried to build. I'll let you know when the TNT goes off.

Bro you need to step back man and take a deep breath, this is a moment in time trust me. Life is long, filled with lots of ups and downs, this is just one of those downs. You need to look at it as a learning experience, be thankful for what you have, your wife, family, your health, and probably just talk to someone you trust, anyone.

I am 51 man, I have been around a while and had ups way higher than you can imagine, made tons of money, traveled the world, have 4 great kids, memories of a lifetime, and downs way lower than you would believe, 5 tours of 3 wars, been shot and blown up, married and divorced, broke and almost bankrupt. They are always temporary and ALWAYS look silly in the a few days or months, trust me on this and take a breath. You will be fine, you have the things in life that matter the most, health, family, and you aren't in prison. Appreciate what you have bro.
