The complaint is when the camera could be recording you in private times, when you are not even driving.
I'm sure you would not put up with a public camera in your bedroom, would you?

Those lights will literally go off from hitting a pothole. My uncle works for GCC in Iowa and it'll set that thing off driving through the yard to the sand or rock pile. He's a few years from retiring and doesnt give a #### anymore, he gets laid off every winter and goes to Arizona to get away from the cold.

The question is; What are you doing that you might not want people to know? Are you doing something that makes you nervous about people finding out?

You have no privacy any more. Have not for years.
Everything “spys” on you. Your phone and TV, even your lightbulbs. The refrigerator is the worst!

Starting making nasty habbits like tugging one out during your 30 minute. Doing yoga naked things like that. But in all seriousness I wonder if driver facing cams will phase out over the issue of lawyers saying well the driver turned is head 3 inches to left he was distracted. Maybe they hurt more than help

I can see the good and bad. They are good if someone hits you. The bad, privacy thing is also important. You can close curtains, but the Idea you are being recorded 24/7. Let see dispatch put one in their hallway or living room. For safety of course, I case someone breaks into house. Maybe one or in bed room and they can cover the lens when going to bed. But still have audio recording when they are making love.

The unit in my truck, a 2019 International LT, only works when the engine is running.

Don't work for any company that has driver facing cameras. When they can't get anyone to drive they will get rid of the cameras.

Apparently race car drivers use this technology too. So it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Oh god. Fever monitoring perhaps? Nope.

If I am sick I'll find a spot and let them know. But not before.

last company I worked for put them in due to idiot drivers and the ins co. made them or they were going to jack up the ins.

I ended up talking to the thing all. cussing the drivers for making me set it off, telling the camera what happened in not a nice way.

cussed the owners when I was sent somewhere to pick up a crap load.

never heard a peep from any body, and I worked at a small terminal of 7 drivers.

maybe they thought I was suffering from PTSD and were afraid of me??

I had been there 10 yrs though.
