Hey i changed my fuel / water separator filter and i forgot to put the top o-ring back on top of the filter. I thought my injectors were going bad because the truck took a long time to start up and would stall only under loads. Now that i replaced the o-ring the hard start has completely went away but it still stalls under loads sometimes when going up a small incline.

Do you guys think i have air in my fuel lines from forgetting to put the o-ring back on its circled in the picture. (No check engine lights)

Did you clean the surface area on both o rings?

Sounds like your still sucking air and loosing prime.

    Imani100 Thanks this.

Yes i just changed both right now so I’m going to try to run some loads tomorrow and check i was just wondering if there might be air stuck in the fuel line. I used the primer knob on the driver side seems to make it run better but still would stall sometimes is there any other way to get air out?

It may have been the big o/ring was not seated in the slot and was causing the trouble?

    Imani100 Thanks this.

Any air in the line will be cycled thru before you can put it in gear.

Can try re seating the plastic ring. It has to be fairly tight. You should not see bubbles in the bowl and it should fill with fuel to the bottom of a new filter at idle.
