Too bad the dealers will mark them up to $50-$60K!! And the truck bed length leaves something to be desired.

    Rideandrepair and Cabinover101 Thank this.

i would own one if they were 2 doors. ill openly admit, i am a huge cherokee/comanche fan. a 2 dr truck (think j10) would be perfect for me. i find the 4 doors way too long and i would appreciate a larger bed.

Too bad automatic timing advance was still a decade away.

I'm hoping FCA has the sense to make down market versions in the future. I can't blame them for milking the "first on the block" types. If these guys don't pay top dollar for the new stuff then profitability becomes an issue and the company whines "we made this truck everybody said they wanted and it was a money loser."

That’s what lean burn was, electronic timing, the distributors on those engines didn’t have an vacuum advance. Essentially the first computer managed engine. As usual Chrysler was the first. The biggest problem was it was mounted on the air cleaner. Vibration caused a lot of bad solder connections, and no one knew how to diagnose them. Everything, timing, choke, fuel mix was controlled by sensors. I’ve got an 84, p/u, with a lean burn, half ### deleted 318. When it’s cold it has the same hard miss as Dads New Córdoba had!!! Lol it’s ironic. I honestly didn’t know they still offered lean burns in 84. Had I caught that, I wouldn’t have bought it. The fix is a 73 Holly carb, and a GM coil. Eliminating the ballast resistor completely in the process.

I had a 70 Challenger SE. And then the 70 Superbird, for $13 k in 1985, I didn’t buy, comes to mind. Along with the 63 Savoy, 413 cross ram, same price. Instead I got married, and sold my 67 Belvidere, HMMMM!!!! Still got the wife, at least. HMMMM!!!! Lol
