I don't know. I usually redlined those engines coming down if she wont settle down halfway in a given gear on a downgrade. Aint hurt it none.
I try not to abuse the lugging on it. But she'll do it for you when asked nicely. I usually pick a gear where Mr Pyro is happy. Not overload it going up. That means reduction. If you aint got enough transmission to find a good reduction then I don't know what to say. That means 13's 15's and 18's

As mentioned I only have a 1800 engine. Didn't mention it's a 9speed. I usually take er all the way out to 1800 while upshifting loaded because the next higher gear drops me down to ~1300. Sucks in the hills trying to gain speed. End up crawling to the top sometimes for fear of lugging damage..
Yep, while empty I'll let her down to ~1200 flat ground sometimes. Only has 26,600lbs to keep moving though..Bean Jr. and Swine hauler Thank this. -
A 9 converts to a 13 real easy and cheap.

Does it have to be a specific convertible version, or are all 9's convertible..?
