That sounds like a dispatch and/or a planner snafu. I would start the communication there, if indeed I started anything at all. If you’re working for a good company over all, and this occurrence is an anomaly, I wouldn’t complain.
I used to joke around about being a “professional waiter-truck driver extraordinaire”. That was when detention pay was hit or miss with the outfit I was working for. Now days after two hours, I start getting paid $25.00 per hour. I still make more driving down the road, but eventually I’ll drive down the road anyway. And with this detention policy, we don’t sit much. It’s only been a few weeks, but the most so far is 3 hours.
On Friday I was sent for a load that I knew wouldn’t pull until Sunday. I figured I’d get a restart. It was ready when I got there!Just passing by and buddyd157 Thank this. -
