Hey everyone, I really need some assistance as to how I could get out of this Swift truck lease ASAP! I’ve been leasing this truck since November of last year and have hardly made any profit whatsoever. If I continue to lease this truck for its lease duration ( one year ) I will probably have to apply for bankruptcy to save my butt from amounting debt. I admit this is the worst business and financial decision I ever could have made and I take full responsibility for it. However, I would highly appreciate any positive input whatsoever, thank you.

It should say in your contract what you need to do to terminate the lease.

    1. Find another job
    2. Park truck at terminal.
    3. Toss keys inside
    4. lock doors
    5. get on bus

Seriously.. check contract. IF they are actually reporting payments to your credit, then dumping the truck will hurt it.

Yes,be friendly, turn truck in clean, have em sign a paper stating that its not damaged etc.Dont abandon truck or quit under a load.Leave friendly then cuss about them after you get in your car down the road. Its simple for them to put untrue stuff on your Dac report."We sent him down for a Drug test,he never showed? Etc.No you Didnt! Says who? JMO

I dont no I say talk to management higher than dispatch. If no luck with that walk away.

Why no profit? Truck repairs killing ya, or just ####ty non paying load after load.

Wish I could help ya more, but I dont (and never have ) work for swift. But I've helped many many guys at my company. Once I saw there paperwork and statements. The problem and solution usually jumped out.
So possibly find a long term old school guy there. Dont be shy ask what the problem is.

    Upinsmoke Thanks this.
