I-80 Pileup Wyoming

Saw this today. Had a similar experience 7 years ago - I40 AZ - Williams, East bound. Got it pulled up in the hammer lane, 20ft from stopped traffic after dodging around several wrecks.

Pulling doubles.

Mike came out of the bunk - I had a few moments to explain before looking in the mirror, and telling him to put his belt on.

Slam - wait . . , SLAM.

2 more semis rear ended us.

In the video - it’s pretty obvious. Too fast for conditions, bunching, and the White Volvo even saw it coming.

Following distance people - it’s pretty simple. Personally, now - in those conditions, with this era of drivers, I’d be parked. Or at least wait till nightfall.

When she gets her .. well nevermind. I guess she's buying a rotator. I'm NOT going into the mudholes at 54.. yep, nope!

These Wyoming videos are something else. Someone should put them all together and make 1 long video of what it's like there.

There was one video someone posted about a year ago where a state police car is on the shoulder and then a truck comes by slowly with 4 ways on.

Right when it gets to the police vehicle it gets blown over ON TOP of the car and crushes it.

i80 has been shut down for three days now- mostly EB but I see this morning both directions.

This is after it was shut down 3 days in a row about a week ago.

 

There were trucks parked on the shoulder for a mile back from Exit 357 in Cheyenne early Monday morning. That's because they were three deep on the road going into the DC, all up and down Lincoln Way past Little America, and four deep at the Loves -- I could barely get through to get fuel. They closed westbound 80 at Pine Bluffs because there was no parking or lodging in Cheyenne.

I love Wyoming.
