Same ratios in high with final OD. You have more gears on the bottom, useful for heavy haul and off pavement, also steep grades.

Does It only do It when you're under Power or when Coasting...?????
Or if you Pop It into Neutral ,Does It still Do It..?? -
The rpms going up when the grinding starts doesn't make an #### sense. Only way rpm can go up is if there's something slipping between engine and the tires. Only thing that could really slip is the clutch. Anything else in the drivetrain won't slip. Are you sure the rpm are actually increasing and not just in the driver's head? How much are they increasing?

18 speed huh. Rpms go up and grinding starts. That is in your auxiliary. Hi lo splitter isn’t staying engaged. Take it back in.
swaan Thanks this. -
thank all of you for your help, ill be sure to let yall know what the problem is, im pulling the transmission in the morning. im not a driver, just a wrench (inexperienced one at that) someone said throw out bearing we replaced the clutch and it still does it, and it only does it while the cruise is set on flat ground, if you put it in neutral it stops. if you depress and release clutch it stops. i think its a bad syncro in the split gear, when i take the trans out it goes back to fleet pride and they dissassemble it and determine if they are going to warranty it or not, so im not holding my breath.... thanks again
