Reason I was fired was "time theft" 15 minutes at target. This was today, the theft occured last Friday.
Yesterday the bosses bosses had a "open meeting" to discuss why so many drivers are quitting. I spoke with the safety regional manager about concerns I had for the base safety supervisor and she claimed it was in confidence and I had whistle blower status.
Yet I was canned today for an unrelated "time theft" and the person I complained about yesterday claims they will revoke my CDL for failure to remained employed for 3 months.
What are the reasons to revoke a CDL when the company did in-house training and 3rd party testing? Can this company do this?
Earned class b license via work, required 3 months of employment yet fired in half that time.

A private company cannot "revoke a CDL".
Once a third party tester notifies the State that a driver applicant passes skills tests administered by them their role in the process is done.CrappieJunkie Thanks this. -

If you have a CDL, you have a CDL. Nothing a company can do can change that. The company may charge you for it per any sort of contract, but they cannot revoke it. Period.
If you call back, have them give you the regulations, but most likely they didn't understand what you were asking.
Now if all you got a CLP, that's may be a bit different with the new training laws out there.
P.S. DOT has nothing to do with issuing the CDL, It's either DMV or SOS depending on state.
DOT = Department of Transportation
DMV = Department of Motor Vehicles
SOS = Secretary of StateBadmon, CrappieJunkie, Doealex and 1 other person Thank this. -
Here is a link to the federal rules.

YES. it is stealing money you did not earn, and this is an all too real fire-able offense. check it out by googling it.
Employee time theft can certainly hurt your business by decreasing employee productivity and costing you money.
2) can an employer take away your CDL?
NO, you passed whatever requirements your state set forth to obtain that CDL, all your employer did was (maybe) pay for you to get it.
the state is about the only entity that can take it away from you.
so go tell that guy to "go pound sand"..Western flyer, SHOJim and CrappieJunkie Thank this.
